Note(s)Roy (Little Jazz) Eldridge (1911-1989) was an American jazz trumpeter and brother of the alto saxophonist Joe Eldridge. After playing with regional bands in the Ohio Valley area and the Midwest, he went to New York (1930). He played in Fletcher Henderson's band for two years and led his own groups before joining Gene Krupa's band as a trumpeter and singer.
